KICKING IT with Kevin Hart

(www.FatGirlLovesCake.com) - Jen Rudin, an award-winning casting director and the author of Confessions of a Casting Director, sat down with Us Weekly to chat about her top picks for Michael Strahan’s replacement.

“You want a guy with a great personality who can also be lovable because you’re watching the show every day and that’s how I feel about anybody I watch on TV — I want to love them, have them in my living room or on my phone or wherever I’m watching them,” she said.

Ironically, her number one pick was no other than Kevin Hart.

AWKWARD: Boy George, Justin Bieber and me: My epic adventure with music icons

(www.FatGirlLovesCake.com) - Okay, so my gurl WENDY WILLIAMS was kind enough to give me a pair of tickets for her show today (well her staff or the random ticket fairy). I couldn't get anyone to get out of bed and meet me at her studios by 8 am so without coffee, wearing yesterday's dress and no make up (see below) I grabbed my broken umbrella and headed to her studios.

SLAY for DAYS: "Prom Girl" was bullied for being overweight at prom

(www.FatGirlLovesCake.com) - When I was told I'd have to come up with a ball gown to cover the 2016 Oscars, I was more than terrified.

Usually when I do big events, I have a designer on deck with a make up crew. This year, I had none of it.

So I looked online, found a few gorgeous dresses that I like and called the company to see if they would sponsor me with a dress. The very first company I called agreed. I was so excited.

Although I had another dress sponsor, sadly their dresses didn't arrive in time due to the super tight Oscars security. Without trying anything on, without the right undergarments and without a glam squad, my dresses by Sydney's Closet made me look amazing.

But it was HOW the dresses made me FEEL that I think I'll never forget. The dresses are made with such love and care. The designs are so modern, upscale yet flirty and fun. I remember telling a friend that I wanted to help a plus size teen find a prom dress.

I didn't even get started on the project before TAYJA JONES (left) wore her own SC dress and the Internet exploded. While it's clear that she's overweight, she is confidential and beautiful. Her date sure seem to think so, as well. She's obviously one of those "life of party" people but when social media was done with her she was depressed, couldn't leave the house and is reconsidering ever going to prom again.

Tayja and girls like her is the reason I'm doing the "FASHION MEETS FOOD Charity Meet & Greet" event in L.A. next month. I really want them to see how beautiful they are. I hope I can track Tayja down and get her to attend. I think she'll be a great addition to our growing group of people attending.

If you're a plus teen, tween, adult or senior, don't let weight stand in the way of having a great life. You deserve it. And when you need a dress, please visit my friends at Sydney's Closet (and tell em you saw them on the "Fat Girl Loves Cake.com" blog. They really class up fashion.

(www.FatGirlLovesCake.com) - I'm so excited that I was chosen to attend the taping of  "LIVE with Kelly & Michael" that airs daily on ABC, but I was bummed to learn that Michael Strahan is leaving the show. To be honest, I wasn't surprised. That man has more jobs than the Department of Labor. He's going to be doing Good Morning America in the morning but also a hot new version of the show "100,000 Pyramid."

Ironically, I was invited to the rehearsal show but I had a family emergency and couldn't make it. I know that if he's as funny as he was as we joked around during red carpet rehearsals at the 2016 Oscars, he's going to make a new generation of people fall in love with a show that so many people already love and miss.

I've known him for a while now. I met him first when he was a player for the NFL. A childhood friend was an exec of the marketing department and I would visit her at work a lot. I also attended the Grid Iron Dinner a few times so I got a chance to know him. He's always been one of the most grateful, likable people I've ever met. It's no surprise that he has 40,000 jobs to prove America loves him too.

Stay tuned for pics from my experience on "LIVE with Kelly & Michael"

FASHION MEETS FOOD: Help C.A.K.E. Magazine end childhood hunger this summer

(www.FatGirlLovesCake.com) - No child should be hungry, yet every summer children struggle to find enough to eat when school is out. While FatGirlLovesCake.com and our publication, C.A.K.E. Magazine normally covers the intersection of where fashion meets food and celebrities, we're excited to hosts an enchanted evening that allows celebrities who care, brands that want to make a difference and bloggers with purpose to come together for a very special event in Los Angeles.

FASHION MEETS FOOD (tm) SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES to end #ChildhoodHunger
Brand journalism may be a hot new trend but our event isn't a fly by night experience. Fashion Meets Food (tm) is an annual effort to ensure that food insecurity doesn't take over a child's summer. Every day, parents struggle to feed their families but in summer when school is out the need is intensified.
